« Les Chevaliers du Larzac Camp | The Castle of Formanoir Camp » La Vallée des Dinosaures CampCamps Location VILLAGE DES ENFANTS MOULÈS Children and Counselors sleep in bungalow tents (5 to 6 beds) on cement floors, with lights, beds and closets. The tents are located in the woods at the border of the village, in the shade! Shower facilities and also plenty of rooms for activities including a small library, and a swimming pool are available on site at the village. Theme The Causse de Larzac, at one time covered by water, is an area rich in fossils. In 1980, a young man discovered the remains of a Plesiosaurus in a nearby Village. Campers are introduced to palaeontology (study of fossils) and geology (study of the earth) as they explore pre-history dating back 180 million years! Extra Activities - Rock Climbing (1 Day) Activities Campers are divided into 2 teams of junior palaeontologists. They will study the Jurassic terrain in search of the rare Plesiosaurus. 1st Stage: LEARNING OF THE TECHNIQUES 2nd Stage: FAMILIARIZATION WITH THE REGION 3rd Stage: ARTS and CRAFTS At the end of camp, the work of the children will be displayed in an exposition open to the public. Field Trips - Visit of the Roquefort cheese cellars or trip to the Viaduct of Millau, the world highest bridge, built over the Tarn River. |
